The team did a fantastic job organising and running ANKA’s first awards dinner of 2007. The evening started off with an amazing display by the Sokudo Squad and Junior Sokudo Squad, then the crowd of about 115 people indulged themselves in the sumtuous catered dinner and dessert awaiting them.

Well done to the winners of the Show Your Masks Competition, where prizes were awarded to the guests who wore the most outrageous/original mask, most colourful/artistic mask, and were the most unidentifiable guest. Prizes included a $25 voucher at Memory Lane Costume Hire, $50 dinner voucher to Cafe Bellavista (around the corner from the Hombu Dojo), and a Swissmagic Showbox Photo Frame from Camera Electronic in Perth.

The raffle winners are not proud owners of polished sword stands, a Showbox Photo Frame, a Wakizashi and a 3 blade set with stand, including full tang Katana, Wakizashi and Tanto.
Congratulations to the winners of the auction, now the lucky owners of a Jutte donated by Chris Thomas, and a rare copy of Blitz martial arts magazine with Shihan on the front cover, signed by Shihan. Also raffled off to three lucky members were three, two hour private lessons, with three 2nd Dan Senseis, Senseis Paul, Tim and Yari.
